Twas the Night Before Christmas JL8
Twas the nap before Christmas, when all through the manner
Not a creature was stirring, not even Barry.
Our book bags were hung by the door with care
In hopes that St Nickolaus soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug on our mats,
While maybe not Clark, he just floated above his mat.
And I with my lantern and Diana in her cap,
Had just settled down for our nightly nap.
When out on the roof there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the mat to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like the Flash,
I used my ring to whip open the sash
The rings light breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day
